Be aware of rising temperatures and reduced rainfall amounts. Increase irrigation according to rainfall amounts, but do not water more than three times a week. It is better to water heavily twice a week than watering lightly four times a week.

Remember to supplement watering of new trees and shrubs in irrigated areas for the first two years, use a hose…do not increase turf or shrub bed irrigation.

Purchase and plant Crepe Myrtles now to be assured of color.

Apply light application of a 3-1-2 fertilizer with iron in turf areas.

Weekly mowing of turf is required at this time. If turf looks brown after mowing, it could be you are cutting too much leaf growth and might need to mow more often. This brown look could also be dull mower blades!!!
